Description

Oranges in a glass bowl is a vibrant still life with vintage glassware, blue and white tureen, burnt orange roses set on a vintage floral cloth. The colour palette includes lime green, yellow, orange with a dusky pink background creating a rich pattern across the composition.

Oranges in a glass bowl is a study of pattern and shapes. It was inspired by reflected light, I love the way the cut glass creates patterns against the cloth and the roses in the vase seem to become part of the tablecloth.

This painting is oil with a cold wax finish on board. Unframed it measures 50cm x 60cm and it is framed in a off white wooden frame 7cm wide the finished size with frame is 64cm x 74cm.
